This fall we are offering two college-level, accredited courses in Spiritual Formation and Biblical Interpretation. Each course will be offered at the Our Savior's Church Midtown Campus location and will take place from 9 – 11:30 am. The cost for each accredited course is $699.00, which includes all academic and administrative fees. If one is not interested in college credit, he or she may audit the course for $499.00.

 
 

An overview of each course is as follows:

A Survey of Church History

This course provides an overview of the inception and spread of Christianity from its earliest days to its most recent expression. Ancient and medieval history, society, philosophy, and theology will be examined in some detail. The student will also examine major developments, trends, and heresies that have impacted the church in a significant manner. Key historical figures will be studied, with special attention to the role of the Spirit of God and the Church.

Systematic Theology

This course examines many of the major theological themes/topics that are located throughout the Old and New Testaments. Topics such as the inspiration of the Bible, the canon of Scripture, justification by faith alone, and many others will be systematically examined. An introduction to the doctrines of the Holy Spirit, ecclesiology, and eschatology, with an emphasis on exploring the relation of these doctrines to the daily and weekly life of the people of God, will be explored as well.
